Uganda Agribusiness Alliance

Uganda Agribusiness Alliance (UAA) is a network of agribusinesses and agribusiness-related apex organisations working towards an inclusive and competitive agribusiness industry in Uganda. It works to catalyse sustainable investment and growth in the Ugandan agricultural and agri-allied industries.

Small Foundation partnered with UAA to support its development as a network, aiming to strengthen its core capacity and therefore enable enhanced impact.

Our partnership and learning

Small Foundation’s support to UAA enabled it to take important steps such as clarifying its vision and objectives, refining its value proposition to members, developing its financial projections and producing a website. It also enabled the UAA CEO to develop relationships that were key to the success of the network.

“While partnering with Small Foundation, UAA began to tap network members’ knowledge and relationships towards economic development, and to leverage UAA’s influence in the sector. UAA also learned how to calculate the real costs of its work – both overtly contracted work, and “invisible” work – and to ask partners to compensate UAA for this work so that the resources and energy of UAA could stretch further.”
