African Leadership Academy

African Leadership Academy (ALA) seeks to transform Africa by identifying, developing and connecting a new generation of young leaders who will lead the continent towards lasting peace and shared prosperity for all. Small Foundation is supporting ALA’s alumni network working in agriculture and related sectors, the AL for Agribusiness Network (ALAN) through a multi-year grant.

“Small Foundation’s support has enabled resourcing of ALAN’s management team, operations, and infrastructure, making it possible to allocate funding towards network initiatives such as the Co-Creation Fund, which provides small grants to member-led collaborations.

In addition to financial support, Small Foundation provided access to the Converge Network Leadership Series and helped to develop our impact measurement & management plan, enabling the ALAN management team to focus on deliverables, measure impact, and evaluate for course correction. This partnership also serves as guidance to other potential funders on how best to support ALAN.”
